Why all the quotes you may ask? I answer with a quote by Sir Isaac Newton: "If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants." This was written in a letter to Robert Hooke after Hooke inquired as to how Newton was able to understand physical phenomenon so easily; it is assumed that the giants he refers to are Plato and Aristotle, among others. We do not possess the capacity (mental or otherwise) to learn everything about our place in this vast universe. But by instead relying on what others before us have learned, and moving forward, we can hope to improve our understanding and the human condition.
So here I have collected a few of my favorite quotes that I believe provide brilliant insight into several topics of interest to myself. Please, at my expense, enjoy your stroll amongst the giants.
